Part 22: 20:35 - 21:05
Orders4.IV Scouting Group : Keep heading south, rejoin main fleet once we're in range
Rostock - return home.
II Scouting Grp : Change course to 130, maintain maximum speed
9.V Half-Flotilla : change heading to north east.
13.VII Half Flotilla: 170 degrees at 20 knots
All others - return home
20:35
All of the battleships turn to 155, making for home.
20:36
The big guns of the battleships find their range on the Champion, and after two solid hits she is seen to be burning.
20:50
The Champion has moved out of range of our big ships, but is still skirting the fleet. The Munchen is engaging her, but has yet to bring her down.
20:55
It doesn't look like the British are going to let us get away that easily, as the slow ships of 2.I squadron spot the Malbrough ever darkening twilight.
2.I have repaired their engines somewhat, and are now making 11 knots instead of 10, but they have no chance of outrunning the British battle line.
21:00
The Battleships begin to fire at each other.
21:02
The Westfallen is hit and promptly explodes!
21:03
The 5.III flotilla disengages to the east, heading towards Britain to try and draw off some of the pursuit.
21:05
The Champion has strayed back into range of the big ships, and has paid for it.
Well, that's a double turn because little happened for the first 15 minutes, and I actually sped the game up for 10 minutes there!
There is little you can do, and the captain of 2.I squadron has asked me to stop emailing him, so I may turn them to try and cross the British T and give the rest of the fleet chance to escape.
What do you guys think? (that's a question for the Captains, so nothing you need to answer.)
